Surprisingly, there are very few courses which deserve to be called 'hidden gems, a term that is so overused it often loses its meaning, but Cruit Island is just that. It is a magical clifftop course that overlooks the Atlantic from almost every hole and one of the few courses that doesn't need to be lengthened by 1, 000 top provide a greater challenge. Wind is a constant factor here, as it should be on any true links. A few extra bunkers have been added in recent years but the overall challenge of this course remains unchanged.
